MovieExtras.ie has been providing extra’s to some of the world’s biggest movie productions. Based in Ardmore Studios in Bray, they cater for all ages and people of all shapes and sizes.

Director of MovieExtras, Derek Quinn, told Dave O’Grady about their work in the film industry and their place in Irish society.

With Ireland’s vital playoff games with Estonia quickly approaching, Irish soccer fans are urging the country to get behind the team and ‘Go Green’ on November 15th.

YouBoysInGreen, the Irish soccer fans supporters club, launched a similar campaign two years ago where the Irish team walked out to a sea of green in Croke Park for the World Cup playoff against France.

The aim is now to replicate that atmosphere at the Aviva stadium on November 15th.

Life-long Irish fan and representative of YouBoysInGreen, Aidan Mullen, spoke Dave O’Grady about the campaign.

Social network games developer ‘Zynga’ have over 232 million monthly active users on Facebook. They are one of the world’s largest online companies made famous by their games such as Cityville, Farmville, Empires & Allies, Texas HoldEm Poker and now ‘Adventure World’.

Founded in 2007, the company has grown rapidly in such a short space of time and have recently opened their Dublin centre which they aim to make their largest European office.

Zynga’s new game ‘Adventure World’ is a first for online games with new advanced features on show for the first time ever.

Dave O’Grady spoke to Marcus Segal, COO of Game Operations for ‘Zynga’ about their new adventure.

A Toast to Arthur…

Millions of Guinness fans from across the world are getting ready to celebrate Arthurs Day on the 22nd September and raise a toast “To Arthur” to commemorate the incredible life and legacy of the man who gave Guinness to the world.

Guinness have now made Arthurs Day an annual event after the success in 2009 when they celebrated their 250th anniversary.

Since 2009, they have committed €2.5 million to the Arthur Guinness Fund, which supports ideas and passions of social entrepreneurs in Ireland.

Newstalk’s Dave O’Grady speaks to Guinness Brand Manager Stuart Kinch about the upcoming celebrations and the Arthur Guinness Fund.

Irish holidaymakers are saying ‘no’ when it comes to visiting Ulster, a recent survey has revealed.

Kerry is head and shoulders above all other counties when it comes to favourite holiday destinations with over 24% of the vote according to a new survey by leading property website MyHome.ie

Angela Keegan, Managing Director of MyHome.ie spoke to Newstalk’s Dave O’Grady, and first addressed the unwillingness of a lot of Irish people to holiday in Northern Ireland.

Jedward are Victorious…

In a week that has seen Jedward release their new ‘Victory’ album in the UK, their tour manager Liam McKenna talks about the challenges of managing the pop duo.

Liam himself is no stranger to show business. Having left the pop group ‘Six’, he worked across the media, presenting TV shows and interviewing big names like ‘50 Cent’ and the ‘Pussycat dolls’. He also worked on the X Factor with Louis Walsh.

Having traded his career in front of the camera to one of behind the scenes, Liam gives an insight into the busy working lifestyle that himself and Jedward have.

He spoke to Dave O’Grady and began by discussing the new album ‘Victory’.
